Cyprus vs Iraq: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Cyprus
- Iraq
How they compare
Cyprus currently reports 0.2771 kg/ha against 0.1154 kg/ha in Iraq, a difference of 0.1617 kg/ha.
That makes Cyprus's figure about 2.4 times Iraq's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Cyprus ahead.
Cyprus ranks 177th and Iraq ranks 180th of 191 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Cyprus averaged higher in 4 and Iraq in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Cyprus | Iraq | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
