Guinea vs Mozambique: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Guinea
- Mozambique
How they compare
Guinea currently reports 20.35 kg/ha against 18.48 kg/ha in Mozambique, a difference of 1.87 kg/ha.
That makes Guinea's figure about 1.1 times Mozambique's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Mozambique ahead.
Guinea ranks 24th and Mozambique ranks 27th of 176 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Guinea averaged higher in 4 and Mozambique in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Guinea | Mozambique | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 4.66 kg/ha | 10.71 kg/ha | 6.06 kg/ha | Mozambique |
| 1970s | 5.69 kg/ha | 10.85 kg/ha | 5.16 kg/ha | Mozambique |
| 1980s | 6.66 kg/ha | 10.46 kg/ha | 3.8 kg/ha | Mozambique |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
