Iraq vs Saudi Arabia: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Iraq
- Saudi Arabia
How they compare
Saudi Arabia currently reports 0.2662 kg/ha against 0.1154 kg/ha in Iraq, a difference of 0.1508 kg/ha.
That makes Saudi Arabia's figure about 2.3 times Iraq's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Iraq ahead.
Iraq ranks 165th and Saudi Arabia ranks 163rd of 176 countries.
Iraq has averaged higher in every one of the 7 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Iraq | Saudi Arabia | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
