Chile vs Panama: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen over time
- Chile
- Panama
How they compare
Panama currently reports 3,884 t against 3,613 t in Chile, a difference of 271 t.
That makes Panama's figure about 1.1 times Chile's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Chile ahead.
Chile ranks 120th and Panama ranks 118th of 191 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Chile averaged higher in 6 and Panama in 1.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
