Democratic Republic of the Congo vs Northern Europe: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen over time
- Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Northern Europe
How they compare
Northern Europe currently reports 143,567 t against 118,328 t in Democratic Republic of the Congo, a difference of 25,239 t.
That makes Northern Europe's figure about 1.2 times Democratic Republic of the Congo's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Democratic Republic of the Congo ahead.
Democratic Republic of the Congo ranks 7th and Northern Europe ranks 23rd of 18 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Democratic Republic of the Congo averaged higher in 5 and Northern Europe in 2.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
