How they compare

Serbia currently reports 30,418 t against 28,126 t in Romania, a difference of 2,292 t.

That makes Serbia's figure about 1.1 times Romania's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 18 shared years of data; in 2006 it was Serbia ahead.

Romania ranks 72nd and Serbia ranks 69th of 191 countries.

Serbia has averaged higher in every one of the 3 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Romania Serbia Difference Ahead
2000s 13,450 t 21,485 t 8,035 t Serbia
2010s 21,504 t 26,326 t 4,822 t Serbia
2020s 27,209 t 30,726 t 3,516 t Serbia

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
