Senegal vs Small island developing States (SIDS): Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen over time
- Senegal
- Small island developing States (SIDS)
How they compare
Senegal currently reports 130,079 t against 71,775 t in Small island developing States (SIDS), a difference of 58,304 t.
That makes Senegal's figure about 1.8 times Small island developing States (SIDS)'s.
The two have swapped places 18 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Senegal ahead.
Senegal ranks 28th and Small island developing States (SIDS) ranks 31st of 191 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Senegal averaged higher in 4 and Small island developing States (SIDS) in 3.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
