Madagascar vs Pacific island small states: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Power Industry (Energy)
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Power Industry (Energy) over time
- Madagascar
- Pacific island small states
How they compare
Madagascar currently reports 0.1196 Mt CO2e against 0.0024 Mt CO2e in Pacific island small states, a difference of 0.1172 Mt CO2e.
That makes Madagascar's figure about 49.8 times Pacific island small states's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Pacific island small states ahead.
Madagascar ranks 45th and Pacific island small states ranks 45th of 194 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Madagascar averaged higher in 2 and Pacific island small states in 4.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from electricity and heat generation (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.1.a. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
