OECD members vs Oman: Total greenhouse gas emissions excluding LULUCF per capita
Total greenhouse gas emissions excluding LULUCF per capita over time
- OECD members
- Oman
How they compare
Oman currently reports 25.04 t CO2e/capita against 10.2 t CO2e/capita in OECD members, a difference of 14.84 t CO2e/capita.
That makes Oman's figure about 2.5 times OECD members's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Oman has been ahead every year.
OECD members ranks 6th and Oman ranks 7th of 47 groups.
Oman has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.

About this data
Total annual emissions of the six greenhouse gases (GHG) covered by the Kyoto Protocol (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulphurhexafluoride (SF6)) from the energy, industry, waste, and agriculture sectors, standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values divided by the economy's population. This measure excludes GHG fluxes caused by Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF), as these fluxes have larger uncertainties.
