Analysis
Suriname recorded 0.0004 Mt CO2e for nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in 2024.
The figure is unchanged over ten years.
Over the whole period, nitrous oxide (n2o) emissions from industrial combustion (energy) in Suriname peaked at 0.0028 Mt CO2e in 1970 and was at its lowest, 0.0003 Mt CO2e, in 2003.
That places Suriname 158th out of 193 countries with data for 2024, putting it in the bottom quarter.
The series is highly variable year to year, so single readings are best treated with caution.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from industrial combustion (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.2 Manufacturing Industries and Construction. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
