Italy vs Nepal: Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen
Biological fixation — Cropland nitrogen over time
- Italy
- Nepal
How they compare
Nepal currently reports 67,096 t against 63,880 t in Italy, a difference of 3,216 t.
That makes Nepal's figure about 1.1 times Italy's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 63 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Italy ahead.
Italy ranks 51st and Nepal ranks 48th of 191 countries.
Across the 7 decades both report, Italy averaged higher in 2 and Nepal in 5.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
