How they compare

Sudan currently reports 232,963 t against 159,412 t in Southern Europe, a difference of 73,551 t.

That makes Sudan's figure about 1.5 times Southern Europe's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 12 shared years of data; in 2012 it was Sudan ahead.

Southern Europe ranks 22nd and Sudan ranks 19th of 29 groups.

Sudan has averaged higher in every one of the 2 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Southern Europe Sudan Difference Ahead
2010s 145,729 t 207,514 t 61,785 t Sudan
2020s 160,990 t 280,598 t 119,607 t Sudan

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
